The Aim of the Senior Voice Forum

	Campaign for better services and equality for older people.
	Promote a positive image for older people
	Develop formal links with all statutory / voluntary agencies - to be a voice within decision making.
	Create bridges with younger people, working with them to leave them a legacy of citizenship to be proud of.

Key Tasks

	To attend as many decision making Committee meetings as possible to ensure that the experience of being an older citizen of St Helens is valued.
	To support the Sub-committees which represent the identified priorities of the Senior voice Forum: Health, Safety and Transport.
	To disseminate information on issues of importance to older people in St Helens.
	To signpost Senior Voice Forum members to independent and high quality Information and Advice.
	To help develop effective communication between policy makers and members of the Senior Voice Forum.
