The present committee consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds who were voted into place in 2007 and are eligible for re-election in 2010. The Senior Voice Forum has over 2,000 older people on its database.
Committee members work with all statutory authorities and voluntary organisations in an effort to advance the provision of user involvement and consultation when planning, designing, providing and implementing services which older people access. Partnership organisations include the Primary Care Trust, St Helens Council and Community Empowerment Network. The Committee also have links with younger people in the hope that they will leave a legacy of citizenship to be proud of.
